New Delhi. South superstar Allu Arjun was arrested by Hyderabad Police from his house on Friday. This arrest has been made in the case of stampede that took place in Hyderabad on December 4. A woman was killed in this stampede, while her son was seriously injured. Allu Arjun’s film Pushpa-2 is making waves among the audience these days. This film is being liked a lot in South as well as Hindi belt. But this film is now creating problems for Allu Arjun.
What is the whole matter?
Actually, the screening of Pushpa-2 was held at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad on 4th December. During this event a huge crowd gathered outside the theatre. A stampede occurred due to the administration being unable to control the crowd. In this accident, a woman named Revathi died, while her son was injured. After the incident, Allu Arjun released a video on social media platform X and apologized. Along with this, he had announced financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh to the woman’s family.

Under which sections was the case registered against Allu Arjun?
On December 5, on the complaint of the woman’s family, Hyderabad Police registered a case against Allu Arjun, his security team and the theater management. The case was registered under sections 105 and 118 (1) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). After this, the police also arrested a theater owner and event in-charge.

Provision of punishment under sections
According to Section 105 of the Indian Penal Code, a person found guilty can face a minimum punishment of 5 years to life imprisonment. Apart from this, the court can also impose financial fine on the culprit. At the same time, if found guilty under Section 118 (1), there is a provision of imprisonment up to 3 years and a fine of up to Rs 20,000.
