Superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Saturday won the Best Actor trophy for his performance in ‘Jawaan’ at IIFA 2024 in Abu Dhabi. She received the award for her action-packed performance in ‘Jawaan’, which also starred Deepika Padukone and Vijay Sethupathi.
While receiving the award, Shahrukh touched the feet of filmmaker Mani Ratnam and hugged AR Rahman. This style of King Khan once again won the hearts of his fans.
Shahrukh returned to the silver screen with Siddharth Anand’s ‘Pathan’ in January 2023. Shahrukh surprised everyone in his action avatar in the film.
The film broke many records at the box office and managed to register its name in the list of one of the highest-grossing films in the Indian film industry.
This was Shahrukh’s first hit film after a break of four years after flops like ‘Zero’ and ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’.
After ‘Pathan’, King Khan returned to theaters with ‘Jawaan’ in September. Shahrukh was once again seen in action avatar in this film. The film earned more than Rs 1000 crore at the worldwide box office.
‘Jawaan’ has redefined success at the box office, enthralled the audience with its entertaining story and brilliant acting and has also written record books in the process. ‘Jawaan’, released on September 7, was the first film of Shahrukh and Atli.
The film also stars Nayanthara, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, Lahar Khan, Girija Oak and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya.
Talking about IIFA, host Shah Rukh made his co-hosts Vicky Kaushal and Karan Johar dance to his hit song ‘Jhoome Jo Pathan’.
The trio definitely added “triple the charm, triple the fun” to the stage at the IIFA Awards 2024 held in Abu Dhabi. Shahrukh and Vicky Kaushal also shared a fun moment while dancing on the song ‘Oo Antwa’.
The three-day festival began on September 27 with IIFA Utsavam, an event dedicated to the southern film industries – Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
IIFA 2024 will conclude with an exclusive, invitation-only IIFA Rocks on September 29. Artists like Honey Singh, Shilpa Rao and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy will perform live for the audience.
