Veteran filmmaker Rono Mukherjee died at the age of 83. There is a wave of mourning in Bollywood with the death of Rono Mukherjee. Rono is known for the direction of films like Havan (1977) and Tu Hi Meri Zindagi (1965). Rono breathed his last in Mumbai on May 28 at the age of 83. He was allegedly suffering from age -related health problems for the last few months. One of the most magnificent film houses of Bollywood came together to pay a final tribute to the late director. His daughter, actress Sharbani Mukherjee was seen with cousins and close family members during the funeral.
Kajol did not appear
Kajol was absent due to the film promotion, other people attended despite the rain, while cousin Tannishtha Mukherjee and filmmaker Ayan Mukherjee were seen facing Mumbai’s rain roads to attend the funeral. Kajol could not appear due to the promotional commitments of her upcoming film mother. However, the bond between family members was clear from his calm solidarity on this warm occasion. Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker who is the husband of Deb Mukherjee’s daughter Sunita Gowariker, also attended the funeral. With this, he became the brother -in -law of Ayan Mukherjee, who lost his father Deb Mukherjee in March a few months ago.

Rono Mukherjee’s death in 2024 is the second major damage to the Mukherjee family, before his younger brother, Deb Mukherjee passed away on 14 March earlier this year. The family has long been placed an important place in Bollywood history, in which veterans like Joy Mukherjee, Shomu Mukherjee and their descendants are carrying forward heritage.
