There is news of relief for actor Karan Mehra in the case of domestic violence leveled by actress Nisha Rawal. The second FIR filed against the actor has now been stayed by the Mumbai High Court after he got anticipatory bail in August for himself, his parents and brother in the case.
Actually, Nisha Rawal had accused Karan of domestic violence on 31 May last year. Along with this, he had also accused the actor that he had also withdrawn more than one crore rupees from his bank account. Karan Mehra was arrested for allegedly assaulting the actress following the allegation.
However, the actor was later released on bail. Subsequently, a second FIR was registered against the actor and his family members Kunal Mehra, Bela Mehra and Ajay Mehra under sections 498-A, 377, 406, 323, 504 and 506 R/W of the Indian Penal Code.
Under these sections, Nisha Rawal had accused the actor of cruelty in relation to dowry harassment, sexual violence etc. At the same time, Karan Mehra said on this that we wanted to stop this FIR and now it has happened. It’s a victory. Now the court will decide on this FIR and the police cannot file the charge sheet. She can check though. Now we will fight the case in court.
Presenting his stand in the case, the actor said that he has gathered evidence without laptop and files for the allegations leveled by Nisha. It took a lot of effort to collect these evidences and present them in the court. My priority was to bring relief to my family. Now I am working on the first FIR also.
The actor said that he was advised by many people to go ahead with the matter but he did not want to do so. Because what kind of father, son and person would he prove to be if he did. He also said that Nisha presented many problems regarding our relationship. He also gave many statements regarding this and if you examine every statement of his, then every statement will be different from the other.
