Lalit Modi Slams Trolls After Post With Sushmita Sen: Lalit Modi earlier this week confirmed that he is dating Sushmita Sen. The founder and first commissioner of the Indian Premier League (IPL) stunned by sharing pictures with Sushmita Sen. However, Lalit Modi was trolled for tagging the actress’s parody account on Twitter while announcing their relationship.
Several social media users wrote that Lalit Modi should have done some fact-checking before sharing the post. ‘He is behaving like a college kid who is in a relationship for the first time.’ ‘He can’t hide his enthusiasm.’ ‘He wants to tell everyone that he has a girlfriend.’ ‘Let them be happy, this is their life.’ Some such tweets were made.
Now Lalit Modi has answered such people on Instagram and Twitter and also asked questions? He shared pictures with Sushmita, late wife Minal Modi, daughter Alia Modi, Nelson Mandela, Dalai Lama, Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi. Also shared a long note.
Lalit Modi wrote, ‘Why is the media so obsessed with trolling me for tagging me in the wrong way. Can someone explain- I shared pics on insta- and the tag is correct. I guess we are still living in the middle ages that 2 people can’t be friends and then if the chemistry is right and the timing is good – magic can happen.’
He accused a certain section of the media of doing mindless reporting and took a dig. He wrote, ‘I think every journalist out there is trying his best to be Arnab Goswami. My advice is to live and let others live. Write the right news – #donaldtrump style not like #Fakenews.’
Lalit Modi wrote, ‘If you do not know then let me tell that Minal Modi was not my mother’s friend. This gossip was spread out of vested interests. It’s time to break out of this crabbing mindset – hope you know what that means.’
He wrote, ‘When someone is successful or does good or does good for his country, then celebrate him. I am proud and so can you all. You call me a ‘fugitive’ – request you to tell me which court has ‘ever convicted’ me. I will not tell you anything.’
Referring to the IPL, Lalit Modi wrote, ‘Tell me another person like me, who has made like me and has given such a gift to our nation. Everyone knows how difficult it is to do business in India. As I said in 2008- @iplt20- but there will be no impact of recession then everyone laughed.’
He wrote, ‘Who is laughing now? Because everyone knows I did it all alone. @official_bcci none of them did anything. All came for a daily TA-DA of $ 500 (about 40 thousand rupees).’
He further wrote, ‘And everyone knows that today something has been created that unites our country and enjoys my game. Do you think I care to call me a fugitive- no. I was born with a ‘Diamond Spoon’, I never took bribe and never needed it.’
Lalit wrote, ‘I am the eldest grandson of #raibahadurgujarmalmodi, I have made money, not taken it. And especially public money. Never took the help of the government. It’s time for you to wake up – when I joined the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) I had Rs 40 crore in the bank.
Lalit Modi wrote, ‘I attended my birthday on 29 November 2005. Imagine what was in the bank when I was banned – Rs 47,680 crore (about US$ 17 billion). Anyone helped, no. They didn’t even know where to begin. Shame on the fake media. Now they become heroes.
