Shahrukh Khan’s onscreen brother left the industry
Not every star kid gets success in Bollywood and we have seen many such examples of this. Today we are going to tell you about one such actor who belongs to a family of superstars. Not only this, there came a time when Shahrukh Khan wanted his son Aryan to become like him and follow the footsteps of this actor. Despite a promising start with a hit, his career soon took a turn for the worse with flops. After leaving Bollywood, he tried his hand in television, but luck did not favor him. Staying away from the limelight, he ventured into business. However, the story does not end here, he is all set to make a comeback after being tagged as a flop.
Earning fame by becoming Shahrukh Khan’s brother
The superstar’s son we are talking about today is none other than Shahrukh Khan’s onscreen brother Laxman Prasad Sharma “Lucky”, whose real name is Zayed Khan. Son of 1970-80s superstar Sanjay Khan, nephew of the legendary Firoz Khan and cousin of Fardeen Khan, Zayed has worked hard to make his fortune in Bollywood. Despite his star-studded family, Zayed has had to struggle a lot to make his place in the industry. He entered Bollywood with a degree in business management from Montgomery College and film production from the London Film Academy. However, his first film ‘Chura Liya Hai Tumne’ with Esha Deol did not do as well as he expected and also flopped at the box office.
Created identity with 1 hit and then disappeared
Zayed Khan’s career was on pink when he played the role of Shahrukh Khan’s step brother in the blockbuster film ‘Main Hoon Na’. Their on-screen bonding became a highlight of the film and the film, directed by Farah Khan, became a box office hit. Unfortunately, it proved to be the only major hit in Zayed’s filmography. After this he worked in many films like ‘Shaadi Number One’, ‘Dus’, ‘Vada’, ‘Fight Club’, ‘Mission Istanbul’, ‘Yuvraj’ and ‘Anjaana Anjaani’, but most of those films failed at the box office. Could not show any special feat. Despite his promising beginnings, Zayed’s career went downhill and he delivered 13 box office failures from 2005 to 2015. After his last film ‘Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene’, Zayed distanced himself from Bollywood. He also worked on television and worked in the show ‘Haasil’, but could not show anything amazing on the small screen and by 2018, Zayed completely disappeared from the limelight.
Ready to make a comeback after getting the flop tag
Meanwhile, while recently giving an update on Instagram, Zayed Khan gave good news to his fans and announced that he is ready to make a comeback on the big screen. Although he has not revealed any specific project yet, he is very happy about his comeback. He wrote, ‘Hello friends! With your love and support, I have been in the industry for 20 years. Once again I’m excited to tell you guys that my new film is just around the corner and I can’t wait to share this news with you guys!!!’
