Madhya Pradesh government organizes a felicitation ceremony every year on the death anniversary of great Bollywood singer Kishore Kumar. Film director Rajkumar Hirani has been selected for this honor ceremony to be held on October 13 this year. Madhya Pradesh government will honor renowned filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani with the prestigious Kishore Kumar Samman 2023. The award ceremony will be held in Kishore Da’s hometown Khandwa on October 13, which falls on his death anniversary. This program will be organized at the Police Parade Ground.
One of the finest filmmakers of Indian cinema, Rajkumar Hirani has continuously enlightened the society through his films. Known for directing classics like 3 Idiots, PK, Sanju, Munna Bhai MBBS and Donkey, Hirani’s films have shaped the narrative landscape of Bollywood over the last two decades. In fact, 2024 marks the continuation of Hirani’s 20-year journey in Indian cinema, who debuted as a director in 2003 with the iconic Munna Bhai MBBS.

Kishore Kumar Samman is a prestigious award that has previously been given to some of the most distinguished personalities of Indian cinema. Which includes Amitabh Bachchan, Dilip Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Dharmendra and Shatrughan Sinha. This year, Hirani will join this honorable list with the award given by the Culture Department of Bhopal. The government has also organized a special program on this evening. ‘Teenager Night’ will be organized on 13 October. Where Kishore Kumar’s songs will be celebrated. Mumbai’s renowned singer Neeraj Sridhar and his team will perform some of Kishore Da’s most loved songs, making it a nostalgic treat for music lovers.
