New Malayalam films released in theaters this week
1. Bazuka
Cast: Mamooti, Gautam Vasudev Menon, Babu Antony, Shine Tom Chacko, Neeta Pillai
Release Date: April 10, 2025
Bazuka is an upcoming Malayalam action thriller under the direction of Dino Dennis. It is going to appear in Mammooty and Gautam Vasudev Menon lead roles and was produced by Yudley Films and Theater of Dreams. Although Dennis began working on its script in 2018, the film was reported in April 2023. Bazuka’s story is on a policeman and a businessman who chases a serial killer through a brain sport.
2. Maamnamas
Cast: Basil Joseph, Rajesh Madhavan, Siju Sunny, Suresh Krishna, Babu Antony
Release Date: April 10, 2025
‘Maamnamas’ is a Malayalam Dark Comedy film written and directed by Shivprasad which is his first film. The story revolves around the life of a serial killer who reminds me of Ripper Chandran.
3. Alappuzha Gymkhana
Cast: Naslen’s Gafur, Lukman Arsran, Ganpati S Poduval, Radin Kingsley
Released: April 10, 2025
‘Alappuzha Gymkhana’ is a sports comedy, which is a young boxer who appears to try to enter college through sports quota after failing his plus two exam. They choose boxing and fate somehow the district level tournament wins. The story takes a serious turn when they are asked to play in competition. Directed by Khalid Rahman, the film has received a U/A certificate. Rahman and Srini Sasindran have written its screenplay, while Ratish Ravi has written the dialogues.
