A script writer has accused the filmmakers of Maidan of plagiarism i.e. story theft. The writer says that he had written the story of Maidan a few years ago. Bar & Bench wrote on its X handle, “Karnataka High Court lifts the ban on the release of Hindi film ‘Maidan’.”

According to Bar and Bench reports, Justice SR Krishna Kumar issued notice on a writ petition filed by the film’s producer Boney Kapoor and temporarily stayed the order restraining the release of the film. The next hearing of this case will be on April 24. Till then the film will continue to be screened in theatres.
Script writer accused makers of stealing the story
