Malaika Arora, who recently suffered an accident, says her health is improving and will be back at work soon. Last week, Malaika was injured in an accident near Khopoli on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, following which she was admitted to a hospital and kept under observation. She had come home the same day. Telugu film star Ramcharan on Saturday thanked fans in the UK for giving his new film “RRR” a strong opening at the British box office over the weekend. The film ‘RRR’ stands for ‘Rise, Roar, Revolt’ and has been screened in multiple languages. Ramcharan played the role of a young freedom fighter in this film. Ramcharan told ‘PTI-Bhasha’, ‘Special thanks to the fans living in the UK for giving so much love and support.’ He said, ‘It is this love and affection that encourages us to work hard and present good films for you. I have spent many holidays in the UK and shot for films and it has always been a wonderful experience.
Director SS Rajamouli, best known for the film ‘Baahubali’, has directed ‘RRR’ and it tells the fictional story of two freedom fighters Alluri Sitara Rama Raju and Kumram Bheem in the early 20th century. Both these characters are played by Ramcharan and NT Rama Rao Jr. respectively. The film has become one of the fastest grossing films of Rs 100 crore at the Indian box office. The film grossed $1.2 million in the UK’s first weekend, while the US-Canada grossed $110 million. The film did a business of $18.9 million in Australia.
