Mallika Sherawat is once again making a comeback on the big screen with ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’. In such a situation, he talked to the media before the release of the film. During the interview, he recalled his childhood and told what kind of discrimination he faced in Haryana. He said, “I did not get support from anyone. Neither my mother understood me nor my father supported me. No one from my family supported me.”
Mallika’s parents considered girls a burden
Mallika told in an interview to Hotterfly that her parents have always discriminated between her and her brother. He also said that his parents have always considered him a ‘burden’. Mallika said, “When I was a child, I did not understand, but now I understand things. My parents used to say, ‘He is a boy, send him abroad, educate him, invest money in him. All the property of the family will belong to the boy only and will then go to the grandson. What about girls? She will get married and leave this house and till then she will remain a burden on us.’”
‘My mother must have gone into depression’
Sherawat further said that his family members were disappointed when he was born. He said, “My parents gave me everything… good education, but they did not make me open minded. They did not give me freedom. They didn’t nurture me. He never even tried to understand me… When I was born, there was mourning in my family. I’m sure my mother would have gone into depression, poor thing.”
