The idea came from a conversation when an 18-year-old student from Whistling Woods International talked about celebrating Gandhi Jayanti.’ He said, ‘Sir, I will not play the guitar to celebrate this occasion because I do not believe in Gandhi Jayanti and that honest expression inspired me to deeply understand the relevance of Gandhi today. Gandhiji is a role model for all of us, but there is a generation that is growing up and has misconceptions about him. I wanted to work with Subhash ji ever since I came to Mumbai. My dream of finally working with Subhash ji in this short film Gandhi is going to come true. I got a chance to spend a lot of time with him as a director and with him as an actor. I have always learned from his films.
