New Delhi. Manoj Kumar, a renowned actor and director of Hindi films, is no longer in this world. He died at the age of 87 at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. Famous Manoj Kumar, known as Bharat Kumar in Bollywood, acted in many patriotic films and also directed in many films. Due to the death of Manoj Kumar, his fans are inconsolable, while Bollywood has also mourned. Manoj Kumar has also been honored with prestigious awards like Dadasaheb Phalke and Padma Shri for his contribution to Hindi films.

In addition to patriotism in his film career, Manoj Kumar also acted in many romantic films. Some of his major films include revolution, east west, roti cloth and house, martyr, upkar, silk handkerchief, who she was, two body, stone sanam, monk, 10 numbers, I want justice, clerk, noise, greenery and way etc. The veteran actor was also awarded the Filmfare Award seven times. Bollywood’s Bharat Kumar made her debut in the world of acting from the film Fashion in the year 1957, it was her debut film. However, in 1965, the film ‘Shaheed’ proved to be a milestone for his career. After this film, Manoj Kumar became established in Bollywood and after that he never looked back in his career.

Manoj Kumar was born on 24 July 1937 in Abbottabad (now Pakistan). His family came to Delhi from there at the time of partition. On the death of Manoj Kumar, filmmaker Ashok Pandit expressed condolences, saying, “The great Dadas Saheb Phalke Award winner, our inspiration and ‘Sher’ Manoj Kumar ji of the Indian film industry is a great loss for the film industry and the whole industry will always remember him.”
