Superstar Rajinikanth on Thursday termed the Pahalgam terrorist attack as “barbaric and ruthless” and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a warrior who will bring peace to Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Waves Summit, the All India actor said that many people had told him that the government could postpone the four -day program due to “unnecessary criticism”, as its focus focuses on entertainment.
He said, “But I was confident that this program would definitely happen due to my faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modiji.”
The world visual and entertainment summit (Waves) along with Bollywood and South’s top stars as well as industry leaders and political personalities also come together.
Rajinikanth said, “Prime Minister Modi is a warrior. He will face any challenge. He has proved this and we have been watching this for the last decade.”
The 74 -year -old actor said that the Prime Minister would take the situation in Kashmir with “bravery and decency”. Rajinikanth said, “(that) will give peace and pride to our country in Kashmir. I am very happy to come here and to be a part of Waves is my good fortune. I heartily congratulate the Central Government.”
Waves will integrate film, OTT, Gaming, Comics, Digital Media, AI, AVGC-XR, broadcast and emerging technology and will try to present itself as a comprehensive performance of India’s media and entertainment skills.
The summit aims to open a market of US $ 50 billion by 2029 and expand India’s presence in the global entertainment economy. The conference has been held some time after the terrorist attack in the upper areas of Pahalgam in Kashmir, killing 26 people, mostly tourists.
