New Delhi. On 15th August, on the occasion of Independence Day, many films were released at the box office. Along with Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s much-awaited film ‘Stree 2’, Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Fardeen Khan and multi-starrer film ‘Khel Khel Mein’ also hit the box office. Meanwhile, between these two big Bollywood films, South’s famous star Ravi Teja’s film ‘Mr Bachchan’ was also released, but this film had to bear the brunt of clashing with these two big Bollywood films on the first day.
South star Ravi Teji’s film ‘Mr Bachchan’ has had a very slow start at the box office on the first day, contrary to expectations. The film also received mixed reviews from critics. This Telugu remake of Ajay Devgan and Ileana D’Cruz’s 2018 film ‘Raid’ did not get a very good response from the audience on the first day, due to which the film’s earnings remained limited to single digits.
So many crores raided on the first day
Ravi Teja has played the role of Ajay Devgan in the film. He is seen in the role of a promising and honest government officer who wants to free the country from bribery and corruption. According to a report by Saccanilk, Ravi Teja’s film ‘Mr Bachchan’ earned only Rs 3.50 crore on the first day. Most of the film’s earnings came from Telugu places.
Got a tough competition from ‘Stree 2‘
Jagapathi Babu has played the role of the main villain in the film. He has many funny scenes opposite Ravi Teja in ‘Mr Bachchan’. Bhagyashree Borse made her debut in the Telugu film industry with this film. On the other hand, Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkumar Rao’s film ‘Stree 2’ earned a lot at the box office. ‘Stree 2’ opened its account with a massive collection of Rs 54.35 crore.
