Lavi Pal alias Sushant Chaudhary, the main accused in the kidnapping case of actor Mushtaq Khan and comedian Sunil Pal, who has acted in many Bollywood films, was arrested by the UP Police after an encounter in Bijnor. The police had also announced a reward of Rs 25 thousand on Lavi Pal, who was absconding after the kidnapping case. Lavi Pal was shot in the leg in the encounter with Bijnor Kotwali police late on Sunday night. At present he has been admitted to Bijnor District Hospital where he is undergoing treatment. Lavi is also the leader of the Pal gang.

SP Bijnor Sanjeev Kumar said that a 315 bore pistol, cartridges and Rs 35,000 recovered in the Mushtaq kidnapping case have also been recovered from Lavi Pal. At the time of the encounter, Lavi Pal’s associate Shivam was also present with him but he escaped after getting the opportunity. Action will also be taken against Lavi Pal under the Gangster Act. Along with this, whatever property he has acquired through crime will also be confiscated. City Kotwal Uday Pratap narrowly escaped in this encounter. Lavi Pal’s bullet came very close to him.

According to Bijnor Police, they received information that Lavi Pal was going to come near Jain Farm located on Mandawar Road with one of his associates. The police reached there around 2 o’clock in the night and laid siege. As soon as Lavi Pal reached there, the police asked him to surrender. Then Lavi Pal opened fire on the police team. The bullet narrowly missed the city policeman. In response, the police team also started firing. A police bullet hit Lavi Pal in his left leg, after which he got injured. The police arrested Lavi, however, his accomplice escaped taking advantage of the darkness during the encounter.
