Famous Bollywood comedian became shadow actor
Javed Jaffrey is celebrating his 61st birthday today. Javed, who has played all types of roles in the film industry as villain, hero and comedian, has also made his mark as a singer, choreographer, VJ and producer. Apart from being a brilliant actor, he is also an excellent dancer and voice over artist. He made his Bollywood debut in 1985 with Anil Kapoor’s film ‘Meri Jung’. Like his father, Javed Jaffrey has also done many memorable comedy roles, for which he is famous even today. He has worked with many superstars.
The son of the king of comedy was also a hit

Javed Jaffrey won applause not only for his acting but also for his dance in the popular song ‘Bol Baby Bol Rock n Roll’ from the film ‘Meri Jung’. Javed has worked in many films including ‘Dhamaal’, ‘Double Dhamaal’, ‘Jadugar’, ‘Meri Jung’, ‘Tara Rum Pum’. Javed Jaffrey’s father is also a veteran Bollywood actor as well as the king of Bollywood comedy. In the film ‘Sholay’ released 49 years ago, the character of Shurma Bhopali was played by Javed’s father Jagdeep. He remains in the news even today for this role. Javed has three children. Apart from daughter Alavia, he has two sons Meezaan and Abbas Jafri. Meezaan made his debut in 2019 with the film ‘Malal’.
Couldn’t show talent in politics
Javed Jaffrey, famous as a comedian, also entered politics in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. He had contested the election from Lucknow on Aam Aadmi Party ticket against senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh, but lost.
