‘Salar: Part 1- Ceasefire’ was released in theaters on 22 December 2023. The film was released on the OTT platform on February 16, about 2 months after Theatrical release. On Disney + Hotstar, this film has been making its place in the top 10 for 350 days, which is a big achievement in itself.
Salar’s box office collection
Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shriya Reddy, Shruti Haasan and Ramchandra Raju starrer ‘Salar’ had a tremendous collection of 404.45 crores. The film earned the most in Telugu language. Prabhas’s film in Telugu language collected more than 217 crores, followed by 151 crores in Hindi and then 19.08 crores in Tamil language. ‘Salar: Part 1-Ceasefire’ has been viewed more than 30 million times on the OTT platform. The film shows the world of Khansar. Salar’s story revolves around two friends ‘Deva’ (Prabhas) and ‘Rudra’ (Prithviraj Sukumaran), who are ready to go to any extent to save each other’s life in childhood. Due to this, both of them also have to separate. Deva’s mother starts hiding in another place to save her son’s life. The story moves forward with the leap and then Deva’s entry is once again in Khajar. The film’s climax leaves a straight route for ‘Salar Part 2: Shauryang Parvam’, which may be released in 2026.
