Sujata Mehta, who has given hit films like Pratighat, Rajlaxmi and Yatim, recently talked about the famous affair of Sunny Deol and Dimple Kapadia. The actress told that both of them used to talk openly about their relationship in public. Sujata worked with Sunny and Dimple in the film Gunaah in the year 1993. During that time, the actress saw the chemistry between the two with her own eyes.
there was nothing to hide
In an interview to Siddharth Kannan, Sujatha said that I had worked with them in the film Gunaah. Their chemistry was very good and both of them were very close to me. Now since we were all working together, there was nothing to hide. In our profession, I feel that everyone is professional. Everyone does their work and leaves. Whenever we went to shoot on the sets of Gunaah, their chemistry was very good both on and off screen. Their togetherness was inevitable.
Replaced from Rajesh Khanna’s film
In the same interview, Sujata also told that she was cast in Rajesh Khanna’s film Jai Jai Shiv Shankar. She was given the female lead role, but was later replaced by Dimple Kapadia. The reason given behind this was that her children wanted to see their parents together again. Rajesh Khanna and Dimple had separated and her career had declined. The actress told that when she met Rajesh Khanna at the airport, she realized that Rajesh Khanna was in depression. However, the film was never completed nor released.
Sujatha’s career
Talking about Sujata, she started her acting career at a very young age. She is well remembered for the 1986 film Pratighat. She played the lead role in this film. Apart from this, Sujata has also played supporting roles in films like Gunaah, Yatim. She was also a part of the Malayalam film Purushartham released in 1987. This film received a National Award. Last Sujata was seen in the film Section 370 which was released in 2019.
