He had revealed that his school teaser for three years helped him and his siblings pay their fees due to financial difficulties at home. He said that his mother would sometimes ask for help from relatives for school books and tuition.

He told that a friend had advised him to buy a bus pass and go to college. He said, ‘Before getting all this, I used to cycle 70 kilometers to go to my acting school.’ While talking about his early days in Mumbai, the ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ actor revealed that at one time he had only Rs 18 in his bank account. He survived on Parle G biscuits and Frooti in those difficult times. He further said, ‘I remember that in Mumbai I had only Rs 18 left in my account and three of us lived in a flat. I used to skip lunch and survive on just one Parle G biscuit and Frooti for Rs 4.

Dance teacher made for expenses

In the podcast, Rajkummar Rao shared that his first job was to teach dance to a seven-year-old child, for which he was paid Rs 300. He told that when he started all this, he was in high school and he said that considering the difficult financial condition of his family, he was very happy when he got this money. Rajkumar told how he bought groceries for the house with his first salary. He told that after buying everything he needed, he had some money left, which he used to buy desi ghee.

Talking about work, Rajkumar Rao will next be seen in the film ‘Maalik’ directed by Pulkit. The actor will be seen in the role of a gangster in this action-thriller film.
