Mahesh Manjrekar spoke on the success of Chhava

In a conversation with Mirchi Marathi, Mahesh Manjrekar expressed his opinion on the tremendous success of ‘Chhava’ with great impunity. According to the actor, the credit for the success of Chhava does not go to Vicky Kaushal, but goes to the character that Vicky played. According to Mahesh Manjrekar, this film has been able to achieve so much success due to the character of Maratha warrior Sambhaji Maharaj.

Vicky Kaushal is not the reason for the success of Chhava- Mahesh Manjrekar

Mahesh Manjrekar said- ‘Vicky Kaushal is a great actor. His film Chhava earned 800 crores. But Vicky Kaushal cannot say that people reached the theater to see him. Had it been so, people would have come to the theater to watch his last five films. The audience was going here to see the character of Sambhaji Maharaj. His previous films did not perform so.

Maharashtra played an important role in the success of the film- Mahesh Manjrekar

Along with this, Mahesh Manjrekar also emphasized that it was Maharashtra who carried forward the historical journey of the film. He further said- “My Maharashtra has saved the Hindi film industry, remember it. Today, the script is doing well and 80% of its credit goes to Maharashtra. In fact, 90% of its credit goes to Pune and surrounding areas. Maharashtra is the only one that can save this industry.”
