New Delhi: Mahesh Pandey is a popular name in the TV industry. People know him for writing scripts for shows like ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ and ‘Kahaniyan Ghar Ghar Kii’. He is currently in the news for the wrong reasons. He was arrested on August 9 on charges of cheating producer Jatin Sethi. According to media reports, he did not pay Jatin Sethi’s money, due to which an FIR was filed against the producer and his close ones.
Mahesh Pandey is in judicial custody. Ever since the news of his arrest came, there has been a big stir in the TV industry. Apart from writing scripts, he has also produced many TV shows. According to the ETimes report, Jatin Sethi had accused Mahesh Pandey of fraud in Amboli police station. A senior police officer says that Mahesh Pandey has been arrested after Jatin Sethi’s complaint.
Mahesh Pandey sent to judicial custody
The police officer said that Jatin Sethi has alleged that Mahesh Pandey did not return the loan amount of Rs. 2.65 crores taken from him even though he has the capacity to return the loan. The police kept him in police station for 2 days and then sent him to judicial arrest.

Mahesh started his career with ‘Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki’. After this, he also worked in ‘Kasauti’, ‘Kutumba’, ‘Kumkum-Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan’, ‘Karam Apna Apna’ and many other shows. He wrote his first Bollywood film ‘Koi Aap Sa’. He also directed a Bollywood thriller ‘332 Mumbai to India’ in the year 2010.
