She says, “We used to run our house only by singing songs in temples and weddings. Whatever money was received from people, we used to live. We saw this life since childhood.”
Ragini started singing at the age of 10. A video of her went viral during Korona, after which many YouTubers started singing by giving 100-200 rupees. But the real identity was found when he sang “the heat from the fan coole”. This song became so viral that it got more than one crore views. However, no one in the Bhojpuri industry paid attention to it. Ragini’s life changed when he suddenly received a phone call. Call was from Honey Singh’s team. But at that time he was not told that this song is with Honey Singh. According to Ragini, “I was just told that there is a big Bollywood project and recording. Till then I could not even imagine that it would be Honey Singh’s song!”
He was called to Banaras to record the song, where Arjun Stranger wrote the lyrics of the song. Even during the recording, he did not know that it would be part of Honey Singh’s comeback album ‘Glory’. The song was completed five days after the rehearsal. When the teaser of the song was released, his voice did not come out. It was told that when the song is released completely, his voice will come in it. Darsal, when he told his relatives that his song was coming with Honey Singh, many people made fun of him. According to him, “Some people said that you have seen the face? Don’t be so happy, because luck can turn anytime.” But when the song went viral, the same people started praising.
Ragini never took music training. Whatever song was learned, sung with dholak and harmonium. His family’s family profession was music. She says, “Now I would like to work in Bhojpuri too. Pawan Singh and Khesari Lal are the Bhojpuri emperor. If they feel that I deserve them, they will give me a chance. The day the door of my luck will open, I will sing with them.” On the other hand, Ragini is also being trolled for her song. People believe that it has pornography. On this she says, “I sing what people want to listen. I have sung bhajans and ghazals, but do not pay any attention to them.
