Got debut film in 20 minutes meeting
While people have to wait for many years to get a decent role in the film industry, Rahul Roy got the lead role in his debut film in just a 20-minute meeting. It is said that he did not make any kind of struggle to enter films, rather filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt himself had offered him the film. When he went to meet Mahesh Bhatt, within the first 20 minutes it was decided that Mahesh Bhatt was taking Rahul in the film.
Had to return money of 21 producers
In an interview given in the year 2020, Rahul had talked about the success he got after his film ‘Aashiqui’. He had said, “Aashiqui continued to run housefull for 6 months, but I did not see any benefit from it. I got worried and went to Mahesh Bhatt. He said that people are watching you right now. They want to know that How to present you? Then the same thing happened.” He further said, “After 6 months, I started getting offers for films continuously. I signed 47 films in just 11 days. I used to shoot three films a day. Later I felt that I had signed too many films. I did it, but it is very difficult to do it together. After this I returned the money of 21 producers.”
Rahul Rai became the first winner of ‘Bigg Boss’
After missing for a long time, when ‘Bigg Boss’ started in 2007, Rahul Roy was also seen among the contestants of Season 1. He once again became the people’s choice and became the first winner of the show. But his sinking career did not get any benefit even from the success of this show and Rahul disappeared again.
Worked in many films
However, Rahul also worked in the C-grade film ‘Her Story’. Apart from this, he also worked in films like Sapne Saajan Ke, Pehla Nasha, Gumrah, Earthquake, Hanste-Khelte, Naseeb, Achanak Phir Kabhi, Naughty Boy and Crime Partner. He was also seen in the 2015 film ‘2B or not to B’.
Had brain stroke during Corona period
During the Corona period i.e. in the year 2020, Rahul was shooting the film ‘LAC – Live The Battle’ based on the minus 12 degree temperature Galwan Valley of Kargil. Then he had a brain stroke. After which he is away from films, but is active on social media.
