Operation vermilion started on 7 May
Hours after India started Operation Sindoor against Pakistan on 7 May, Rajinikanth resorted to X (East Twitter) to show his support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the success of the government -led operation. Expressing his support, the jailer actor wrote, ‘The fight for the fighter has started, until the mission is complete, there is no restriction. The whole country is with you. Let us tell you that India and Pakistan have agreed to the ceasefire last day, which is an agreement between the Direct Communications of the Military Operations (DGMO) of the respective countries through direct communication. Despite the ceasefire agreement, the Indus Water Treaty will remain suspended and the Kartarpur corridor will remain closed.
