New Delhi. YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia, who was in trouble over the controversial remarks made on the show ‘India’s Got Latent’, has filed an anticipatory bail petition in the Supreme Court. In the petition filed by Ranveer Allahabadia, the Supreme Court has been requested to merge the FIR filed against him in different states including Mumbai, Delhi, Assam and hear them together. An early hearing on the petition has also been demanded. However, Supreme Court Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna has not given any date for hearing the petition of Ranveer Allahabadia.
A case has been registered against about 40 people associated with the show ‘India’s Got latent’ show, including Ranveer Allahabadia, comedian time Raina, social media influencers Apoorva Mukhija, Jaspreet Singh and Ashish Chanchalani, in several sections have been registered in several sections including spreading vulgarity. The Mumbai Police sent them summons and called them for questioning. Apoorva Makhija has been questioned. Time Raina is currently in America. Ranveer Allahabadia was supposed to go for questioning yesterday but he did not arrive after which he had to record the statement before the police today. The Women’s Commission has also sent notices to all the above people including Ranveer Allahabadia, time Raina. On the other hand, a team of Assam Police has also been camping in Mumbai for two days to investigate the matter. The matter has also been raised in Parliament and the Parliamentary Committee is also considering sending notices to these people.
