New Delhi: Janhvi Kapoor and veteran actress Rekha were seen sharing a heartwarming moment at the premiere of the film ‘Uljh’. The two posed together on the red carpet and then Rekha lovingly hugged and kissed Janhvi. Janhvi looked very beautiful in a white strapless mini dress decorated with lace pattern, which spoke of her beauty. She wore white heels with it. The actress is wearing less jewellery. Janhvi’s smile and the sparkle in her eyes while standing next to Rekha express her affection towards her.
Rekha graced the event in a traditional saree which she draped beautifully over her shoulder. The saree had golden floral designs on it, giving it a royal look. Rekha completed her dress with statement jewellery which included big earrings and a layered necklace along with a matching clutch. Her signature bold red lipstick and classic gajra in her hair completed her look and reminded everyone why she is a fashion icon.
Rekha is close to the Kapoor family
The special bond between Jhanvi and Rekha is beyond the understanding of common people. Rekha has been close to Jhanvi’s family for years, especially her late mother Sridevi. Rekha and Sridevi shared a deep friendship, with Rekha even recommending Sridevi for several films including ‘Himmatwala’ and ‘Chandni’. This bond naturally extended to Jhanvi and her sister Khushi. Rekha often plays the role of guardian in their lives.
She will debut in Telugu cinema with ‘Devra’
Boney Kapoor had revealed in an interview to AnyTV Showsha that Rekha played an important role in Khushi Kapoor’s decision to pursue an acting career. Boney said that it was Rekha who told him about Khushi’s desire. Khushi sent her audition tape to Rekha instead of her father. This speaks of the trust and loving relationship the Kapoor family has with Rekha. Janhvi will next be seen in her first Telugu film with ‘Devra: Part 1’.
