New Delhi. Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa is badly trapped in the Renuka Swamy murder case. Now a big news has come out in this case. Darshan has given a shocking statement to the police in the Renuka Swamy murder case. The actor told in his statement that he had borrowed lakhs of rupees to destroy the evidence related to the murder.
According to India Today’s report, Darshan recently gave a statement to Karnataka police that he had borrowed Rs 40 lakh from a friend to destroy evidence and pay other accused. Apart from this, it has also been learned that Darshan had also given Rs 30 lakh to other people to surrender before the police.
15 lakh rupees given to the accused
A few days ago, a police source had said that Darshan had asked three people to take the blame for the crime in exchange for cash. According to a report published in NDTV, Darshan had allegedly offered Rs 15 lakh to three people and asked them to take the blame for Renuka Swami’s murder. Police arrested Darshan a few days ago in the Renuka Swami murder case and he is currently being questioned in this case.
What is the whole matter?
Renuka Swamy was found dead in Bengaluru on June 8, 2024. He worked at the Apollo Pharmacy branch in Chitradurga. It is alleged that Renuka used to send obscene messages to Darshan’s friend and Kannada actress Pavitra Gowda. Angered by this, Darshan got Renuka Swamy killed and then her body was thrown into a canal in Kamakshipalya, Bengaluru.
This is how the murder plan started
Earlier, Karnataka police officials had also claimed that Darshan and his associates had beaten Renuka Swami badly, due to which she died. Sources said that Pavitra had instigated Darshan to teach Renuka Swami a lesson. After this, a plan was made to kill Renuka.
