Rhythm Kala Mahotsav is being organized in association with Anjana Welfare Society. Music and dance workshops are being organized during this festival. This art festival, which started from 26 January, will be organized for 45 days. This art festival is being organized for the last 8 years and will continue to do so in future also. The purpose of this festival is to connect the youth with the Indian culture. Under this festival, every weekend people associated with the field of art become a part of the workshop organized under this festival.
In the workshop organized this week as part of the Mahotsav, Dr. Ram Karan Singh, Vice Chancellor of IFCAI University, Dehradun, Dr. Jyotish Joshi, who has authored more than 30 books and worked as editor of the Academy of Fine Arts, actor and director Om Katare and Department of History Associate Professor Dr Kishore Kumar appeared as a guest. During this, Maya Kulshrestha told that the Rhythm Festival is a festival of art and culture. Under this, this festival is being organized online for 45 days. After which this festival will also be organized offline.
During this, while giving his views, Om Katare said that theater in the city of Mumbai is as a sacrament. Marathi theater is happening here for years, which people watch with great respect. This is the reason why theater is given more importance here than in other provinces. In other provinces people are doing theater, but it is not becoming a part of their life. In such a situation, theater should be taught and explained through education, so that it becomes a part of their life. Along with this, the government should take it forward by connecting art with education, so that people can choose it as a career.
At the same time, Dr. Jyotish Joshi said that unless the Indian people and especially the Hindi people make arts a part of their culture and do not include them in their rituals. Till then it is not possible to develop the art in a big way. At present, the condition of all the arts is that all are fighting for their existence. Today it is the situation that even theater has not made any national form. However, it is also true that music and dance have maintained their purity in spite of many difficulties.
He also said that there is no doubt that we should give place to the arts in the educational curriculum. Incorporating these arts in the educational curriculum will help in preventing the anarchy and indiscipline that prevails in the society. Because arts like music and dance give sweetness and bind the person in discipline. He said that without rhythm there is no society and no world runs.
At the same time, Dr. Kishore Kumar, who appeared as a guest in the workshop, said that if an artist keeps himself tied in a structure, then his natural talent gets challenged. If we bind an artist too much in formality, there will be a lot of trouble. Suggesting about the problems related to the artist and the society, Dr. Kishor said that there is a need to make people aware for this.
