South Indian actor Rishabh Shetty was honored with the Best Actor award for his film ‘Kantara’ at the 70th National Film Awards ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan in the country’s capital Delhi on Tuesday. This prestigious award was given to him by the country’s President Draupadi Murmu. During this time, many famous personalities of the film industry were present at the ceremony, which included stalwarts like Karan Johar, Neena Gupta and Mithun Chakraborty.

His film ‘Brahmastra – Part 1: Shiva’ received the Best Film award in the AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics) category. Expressing his happiness on this achievement, Karan Johar expressed his gratitude to the entire team of the film.

Dadasaheb Phalke Award to Mithun Chakraborty

Veteran Indian cinema actor Mithun Chakraborty was honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. President Draupadi Murmu presented him this prestigious award with his own hands. After receiving the award, Mithun in his speech advised the young generation to never give up and said, “Don’t stop dreaming, keep trying to fulfill them.”

Rahul V. Chitaila’s film ‘Gulmohar’ got the title of Best Film. Along with this, Malayalam film ‘Attam’ was awarded the National Award in the Best Feature Film and ‘Aena’ was awarded the National Award in the Non-Feature Film category.
