Junior Artist of ‘Kantara 2’ dies

A very sad incident took place on the set of Rishabh Shetty starrer ‘Kantara 2’ on Tuesday, 7 May 7 afternoon. A junior artist died after drowning in the Kollur Sauparnika river. According to India Today, MF Kapil, who hails from Kerala, went to swim in the river after a lunch break and was swept away. Local authorities and fire departments immediately started search and rescue operations. However, Kapil’s body was recovered from the river on Tuesday evening. A case has been registered at Kallur police station and investigation is currently underway.

Kantara 2 Junior Artist dies

This is not the first time an accident occurred on the set of ‘Kantara 2’. Earlier, a bus carrying junior artists in Kallur overturned. However, no one was allegedly injured. Even a large set of the film was destroyed due to the dangerous storm, wind and rain, which caused a lot of damage to the makers. Now there has been a stir again since the death of ‘Kantara 2’ junior artist. There were reports that perhaps the release of ‘Kantara 2’ could be avoided due to the delay in production. However, last month the producers clarified that the film would not be delayed and it would be released on October 2, 2025.

Kantara is a Kannada film released in 2022. Although it received a great response in its native language, the manufacturers later dubbed it in many languages ​​including Hindi. Rishabh Shetty’s ‘Kantara’ earned Rs 309 crore at the box office. The Hindi dubbing of the film earned Rs 84 crore. Now, everyone is waiting for the release of ‘Kantara 2’ which is actually the first part prequal and that is why the producers have named it Kantara Chapter 1. The film stars Rishabh Shetty, Jairam, Kishore and Jayasuriya.
