The Mumbai Police will reconstruct the crime site at Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan’s house in Bandra, where an intruder attacked him several times with a knife.
A 30-year-old Bangladeshi man, accused in the high-profile case, was arrested from neighboring Thane city on Sunday morning. A court here sent accused Shariful Islam Shahzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir to five days police custody.
According to the official, the police will take Shahzad to Khan’s house ‘Satguru Sharan’ during these five days to rebuild the crime site under its investigation.
Police had said that Shahzad had entered the Bollywood star’s apartment with the intention of theft on the morning of 16 January.
Initial investigation shows that he climbed the stairs on the seventh-eighth floor of the building, where Khan and his actress wife Kareena Kapoor Khan live with their children and domestic workers.
An official had earlier said, “He entered the duct area, climbed the 12th floor with a pipe and entered the actor’s flat from the bathroom window. After that he came out of the bathroom, where the actor’s staff saw him, after which the series of events started and finally a knife attacked.”
The 54 -year -old actor was stabbed several times in the attack, after which he underwent five -hour surgery at the nearby Lilavati Hospital.
