Veteran actor Anil Kapoor shared an anecdote about the song ‘Ramta jogi’. The actor said that he performed the song ‘Ramta jogi’ without any rehearsal. Aishwarya Rai, Akshay Khanna and Anil Kapoor were in the lead roles in the film.

Anil Kapoor expressed his gratitude to Subhash Ghai
It is said that Govinda and Aamir Khan were approached before Anil Kapoor for the role, but they turned down the offer, after which the offer fell into Anil Kapoor’s lap. Anil shared several pictures from the sets of ‘Taal’ on Instagram on Tuesday, August 13 and wrote, ‘Got the opportunity to be associated with ‘Taal’ 25 years ago. Playing the character of Vikrant Kapoor was memorable and I will always be grateful to Subhash Ghai for showing faith in me.’
Anil Kapoor further said, ‘The story of the song ‘Ramta Jogi’ is special. Saroj Khan saved the day when Farah Khan couldn’t choreograph.’ The actor said that ‘Ramta Jogi’ is his favorite song of the film. He said, ‘What makes it really special is the story behind it. Earlier Farah Khan was supposed to choreograph this song, but she left it at the last moment! Then choreographer Saroj Khan entered just one night before the shooting. I was so excited that I did this song without any rehearsal! Working with the best actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was an adventure in itself!’ The actor called it a great experience.
Anil Kapoor won all the major awards in supporting roles
Anil further wrote, ‘The biggest thing is that ‘Taal’ won all the major awards for me as the best supporting actor that year, including Filmfare, Zee, IIFA and Screen Awards! It was a truly wonderful experience. Wishing many more years of music, dance and drama to come!’ ‘Taal’ is directed by Subhash Ghai. It also featured Amrish Puri and Alok Nath in lead roles. The film premiered at the Chicago International Film Festival.
The story of the film is memorable
Talking about the story of the film, it revolves around Mansi (Aishwarya) and Manav (Akshay). In this, Manav comes to Mansi’s city on a trip, and falls in love with her at first sight. Gradually Mansi also falls in love with him. But due to lifestyle and society status, Manav’s family does not approve of this relationship and they insult Mansi and her father. After drinking the sip of insult in Bombay, when he sits down in a place tired and exhausted, he meets Vikrant (Anil Kapoor), who makes Mansi a celebrity. During this, Vikrant talks about marrying Mansi, but Manav begs for his love and tries to come back into her life.
