New Delhi. Malayalam cinema’s famous action crime mystery drama film ‘Kondal’ is now ready to hit the OTT platform after theatres. This film is directed by famous filmmaker Ajith Mampally. The film was released in theaters on September 13, 2024, where it received mixed reviews from audiences and critics. The film grossed a total of Rs 16 lakh in India, while its collections in Kerala reached Rs 1.05 crore. However, the film ‘Kondal’ faced tough competition from big films like ‘ARM’ and ‘Kishkindha Kaandam’ at the box office, due to which the film could not make much of an impact at the ticket windows. Now this film is going to try its luck on the digital platform.
Kondal’s story
The story of ‘Kondal’ revolves around the life of a young man named Manuel, who leaves his hometown due to troubles. He gets an opportunity to work on St. Anthony’s boat in Munambam Harbour. But after this job, big changes come in his life. In this film, Gautami Nair, Jaya Kurup, Pramod Veliyanad, Nandu Madhav and Manikand Rajan will be seen in lead roles along with Shabir Kallarakkal and Antony Varghese. The film is written by Roylin Robert and Sathish Thonakkal along with Ajith Mampally.
