Mumbai: When Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Animal was released in theaters in December 2023, the film was in the news for many reasons. After the release of the film, Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, was liked by the audience, but there was controversy over many of its scenes. The film was said to be excessively violent and then after the release of the film, Rashmika Mandanna was also trolled fiercely. After watching the film, many videos of one scene of Rashmika in the film went viral. There was a flood of memes on the actress on social media.
While sharing the video of the actress, it was said that her dialogue of Karva Chauth scene was very unclear. Four months after the release of the film, Rashmika Mandhana has finally broken her silence on the trolling she faced. Recently, Rashmika appeared on Neha Dhupia’s show, when she gave a befitting reply to the trolls and told them how much hard work went into making that Karva Chauth scene. He revealed that everyone on the set was happy after shooting the 9-minute long sequence and said that he too felt it was brilliantly done.
Talking about her trolling, Rashmika said- ‘I don’t like people trolling women about their bodies. Unless it is so and they are trolling me about my films, my cinema, my face while speaking my dialogues in the film. “I know how the performance was because I did it five months ago.”
He further said- ‘The Karva Chauth scene was about nine minutes long. While doing this scene, the people present on the set liked it very much. They were applauding and feeling that it was very well done. But the trailer came and I was trolled so much for a particular dialogue in that scene. So I thought, I did a 9 minute long scene and everyone on the set liked it, but now people are trolling me for it. So am I living in a bubble? Like won’t people like this scene? Because you know what you shot, but people don’t.
“All people know is that it’s 10 seconds. That’s why I never want to live in such a way in my life where I feel like I am living in a bubble and it can burst any time. I have to stay on the ground. I want to talk to people. “I need to know what’s really going on.”
