He thought that it was very easy to earn money by acting, but when he came to the city of dreams, he faced a reality that he had not even thought of. Faisal’s luck shone because of this film, not Panchayat
Anurag Kashyap entered Faisal Malik’s film career and his luck shone. Both of them met through a common friend and soon made a plan to start a production company together, but their plan did not succeed. At the same time, filmmaker Kashyap got immersed in the casting of his most famous film till date, ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’. In this low-budget film, everyone from the spotboy to the driver got a chance to work on screen and Faisal got the role of Inspector Gopal Singh. Despite the success of ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, Faisal had no interest in acting. He wanted to work for production by staying behind the camera. At the same time, the makers of ‘Panchayat’ were so happy with his work that they convinced him to play the role of Prahlad Pandey.
