The film got good reviews from critics, but the magic of the movie is not working at all at the box office. ‘Yoddha’ opened with very low collections at the box office and even today the film is limited to just single digits. The condition of Siddharth Malhotra’s film ‘Yodha’ is worsening day by day in terms of earnings. The film did a business of Rs 4.1 crore on the first day. The film did a business of Rs 5.75 crore on the second day and Rs 7 crore on the third day. After this the film’s earnings started declining, which continues till today.
‘Yoddha’ could not earn even Rs 30 crore in 9 days
‘Yoddha’ did business of Rs 2.15 crore on the fourth day, Rs 2.25 crore on the fifth day, Rs 2.1 crore on the sixth day, Rs 1.9 crore on the seventh day and Rs 90 lakh on the eighth day. Now its 9th day’s earning figures have come out. According to the early report of SACNL, Siddharth Malhotra’s ‘Yoddha’ has been able to do a business of only Rs 1.42 crore on the second Saturday across the country. In this way the total earning of the film has become only Rs 27.57 crore.
Half of the film’s budget recovered
According to media reports, the makers have spent approximately Rs 55 crore in making Siddharth Malhotra’s ‘Yoddha’. In 9 days, this film has somehow been able to withdraw only half of the budget.
It is noteworthy that ‘Yodha’ has been directed jointly by Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha, in which apart from Siddharth Malhotra, Disha Patani and Raashi Khanna have played important roles. In the film, Siddharth Malhotra has played the role of Arun Katyal, commanding officer of the Yodha Task Force. ‘Yodha’ has been jointly produced by Hero Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Shashank Khaitan.
