New Delhi. Singham 3 has been released in theatres. A lot of buzz was created about the film. From the very beginning, Rohit Shetty has been serving this film as his cop universe like Avengers Universe. It is a different matter that the film does not even become a cheap version of Avengers. When Singham came, it had a very new and unique concept which forced people to whistle. But as Rohit started making its sequels, he focused all his attention on blowing up cars and getting big heroes to do copious action sequences from his own films. In this dilemma he could not pay attention to the stories of the film. So let’s first talk about the story of the film…

What a story!

In order to make the larger than life entry of stars like Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh in Singham Again, Rohit did not pay any attention to the story of the film and sold the story of Ramayana to the public by calling it Ramayana of Kalyug. Playing Ramlila on one side and progressing the story of the film on the same lines, this ditto copy paste sank the boat of Rohit’s film. Now Rohit Bhai, the public is not that stupid. Anyway, the screenplay is gripping and some dialogues are also good but it is nothing that you will remember after leaving the theatre.

Acting:

After the story, if we talk about acting, there is no need to prove that Ajay Devgan is OG Singham. But this time the villain in front of him is Arjun Kapoor and it has to be said that this was a good opportunity for Arjun to prove himself where he has failed miserably. His character in the film is Danger Lanka alias Zubair, who is neither concerned with jihad nor religion, he has just come to take revenge of his father and grandfather and in the process, he kidnaps Singham’s wife Avni i.e. Kareena. Where on one hand you saw villains like Prakash Raj and Sonu Sood in the first and second parts of Singham who gave a tough competition to the hero. At the same time, Arjun did not look scary as a villain in this film, nor was that seen in his expression. In the first half they still tried to create some fear but in the second half they were completely cornered. Even in the climax, his end has been done very badly. The way the buildup to Arjun’s character was given in the film, his ending was quite disappointing.

Kareena looked good among the other actors. Tiger had nothing to do, although his stunt scenes were a bit unique. Deepika’s screen time was very less and honestly her character was not even needed. On top of that, forcing Deepika to speak Hindi in Southern accent was a bad experiment. Yes, Ranveer Singh’s entry definitely leveled up the graph of the film a bit. Both his acting and comedy entertain. But after a while, she also starts overacting. Akshay Kumar’s cameo entry is very spectacular which can be applauded. But all their hard work goes in vain due to a bad story and repeated stunts.

Background Score:

Rohit Shetty has washed his hands in the flowing Ganga by capitalizing on the issue of Hinduism and India-Pakistan. Sources like Shiva Tandav have been forcefully inserted into the film. The background music of the film could have been better, it would not have created the Singham issue.

Watch or not:

Overall Singham Again is a copy paste of Rohit Shetty’s old films which have just been served in a new packet, a little brighter and louder. If you are also fond of masala films then you can watch this film without worrying too much.
