Rejected offers of ad films
In 1999, in conversation with Veer Singhvi, the Runway 34 fame actor told that when he came to Mumbai, he got an opportunity to work in ad films, but he refused to work in them. Amitabh Bachchan told that he did this because he found it very strange to do so. Amitabh told that he was offered 10 thousand rupees for one ad.
…then Amitabh was driving the taxi
It was a time when even 50 rupees was a big thing. However, he felt that he would get out of his way by editing, so he decided not to get greedy. The Jhund fame actor told that he had come to Mumbai with a driving license and had he not become an actor, he might have become a cab driver and driving a taxi on the roads.
Amitabh used to sleep on Marine Drive
Amitabh Bachchan said, ‘I did not have a place to live. You can’t spend much time with friends because you seem boring in their house. So that’s how I spent a few days on the benches of Marine Drive with some of the biggest rats I’d seen for the first time in my life. However, this penance of Amitabh came in handy and today even at the age of 79, he is working continuously and he is getting many projects.
