Zaheer-Sonakshi got married after dating for 7 years
It has been two months since Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal got married. The couple got married in a very simple way in the last week of June, but even after this the wedding was much talked about. The Sinha family was trolled a lot regarding Sonakshi-Zaheer’s wedding, but the actress turned her seven-year-long relationship into marriage without caring about the trolling. Sonakshi Sinha got married in the presence of only her family and close friends and only limited guests attended their reception. In such a situation, now the actress has revealed the reason behind her simple wedding.
Sonakshi had told her mother what was in her mind
While talking to Galata India, Sonakshi said that she had decided that she will not have a big fat Indian wedding because of her brother Kush. The actress said that she had decided after her brother Kush’s wedding that she will have a very simple and modest wedding. After her brother’s wedding, Sonakshi had clearly told her mother Poonam what was in her mind and told her what kind of wedding she wanted.
Why did Sonakshi not do a big fat wedding?
When Sonakshi was asked if she was not under pressure to have a big fat Indian wedding as a celebrity? The actress replied, ‘There was pressure, but we were very clear about what kind of wedding we wanted. A few years ago, my brother (Kush) got married, which was a grand Indian wedding. About 5,000 to 8,000 people attended every ritual of my brother’s wedding. The first thing I told my mother after this wedding was that my wedding would not be like this.’ Sonakshi Sinha’s brother Kush married Taruna Agarwal in the year 2015.
We did not want any pomp and show in the wedding- Sonakshi
Sonakshi further said, ‘So we were very clear that we cannot have a wedding with so much pomp and show. They said, this day comes only once in our life and it is very special. So we wanted to do it the way we wanted to do it. However, there were some of our friends who were not happy with our decision, because they all wanted more functions. Like Huma, my friend and stylist Mohit. Mohit had said, ‘I want you to change dresses five times in your wedding’, but I changed the outfit only once. In such a situation, he got angry.’
Bhai Love did not attend the wedding
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal had a registered marriage at their home in the last week of June. After which they held a reception the same evening, which was attended by many Bollywood celebrities. Sonakshi-Zaheer got married after dating each other for seven years. Sonakshi’s brother Kush attended the reception, but Luv did not attend any function of his sister’s wedding.
