Sonu Nigam apologizes

Sonu Nigam has finally apologized to the people of Karnataka. The famous singer, which has been summoned by the Bengaluru Police. He finally said on this matter, saying that his love for the state and his people is bigger than his ego. Sonu Nigam was recently lodged in Bengaluru on charges of insulting Kannada language and culture. He got caught in controversies after a concert held in Bengaluru. The Avalli police today issued a notice to the singer and asked him to appear for questioning. The first singer of the apology, Sonu Nigam, also shared the official statement, giving his clarification on the Bengaluru concert controversy.

Sonu Nigam apologizes

Sonu Nigam apologized for hurting the sentiments of the Kannada people on its Instagram account. He wrote, ‘Sorry Karnataka. My love for you is greater than my ego. I will always love. ‘ The entire controversy started when Sonu Nigam asked to sing in Kannada in its concert, he raised the issue of Pahalgam terror attack. After this, an FIR was lodged against him for hurting emotions.

Sonu Nigam’s statement on Bengaluru concert dispute

Sonu Nigam wrote, ‘Hello, I have given unprecedented love to language, culture, music, musicians, state and people, not only in Karnataka but anywhere in the world. In fact, I have given more respect to my Kannada songs than songs in other languages including Hindi. Hundreds of videos are being broadcast on social media as a proof of this. However, I am not a young man who bear insulting someone. I am 51 years old, in the second stage of my life and I have felt bad that the younger my son is, he threatens me directly in front of thousands of people in the name of language, that too in Kannada which is my second language in terms of my work. ‘ He further said, ‘His own people were embarrassed and asking him to remain silent … I told him very humble and love that the show has just started, this is my first song and I will not disappoint them, but they have to let me continue the concert according to my schedule. Every artist has a list of songs so that musicians and technicians can keep pace, but they were engaged in creating a ruckus and threatening me, harassing me. Tell me whose mistake is there? Being a patriot, I hate those who try to spread hatred in the name of language, caste or religion. Especially after what happened in Pahalgam… I had to explain them and I did there. Thousands of students and teachers praised me for this. The matter is over and I sang a song in Kannada for more than an hour. All this is on social media … I leave this to the sensible people of Karnataka to decide who is guilty here. I will accept your decision politely. I fully respect the legal agencies and police of Karnataka and trust them and I will follow what will be expected from them. I have received a lot of love from Karnataka and I will always keep it without any malicious, no matter what your decision is. Thank you … Sonu Nigam. ‘
