The corporation, known for songs like ‘Abhi Mein Mein Mein Kahin Kahin Kahin’, ‘Dil Duba’ and ‘No Entry’, shared a post on its Instagram handle and said that his love for Karnataka is bigger than his ego.
The corporation wrote in its post on Monday evening, “Sorry, Karnataka. My love for you is greater than my ego. I will always love you.”
The incident took place on 25 April when the corporation was performing at a college in Bangalore. As the singer told in his previous video post, he was threatened by a group of boys to sing in Kannada language.
He replied, saying, “This is the reason behind the incident in Kannada Kannada, Pahalgam.” Many people found the corporation’s comments hurt.
An FIR was also lodged against the Bollywood singer at Avallly police station in Bengaluru on 3 May.
On Monday, the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) announced a ‘non -cooperation’ campaign against him for his alleged controversial remarks, hurting the people’s feelings.
