Film actor Govinda is once again in the election field. He is contesting from Shiv Sena from North West seat of Mumbai. Let us tell you that Govinda had been an MP once before also. Govinda was elected MP from North West seat of Mumbai in 2004 on Congress ticket. At that time, he had defeated the veteran BJP leader and the then Union Minister Ram Naik in the elections. Only after 4 years, Govinda resigned from the post of MP and retired from politics. Now once again he is contesting elections on Shiv Sena ticket.
Hema Malini, who gained popularity with the character of Basanti in the film Sholay, gained immense fame in the world of acting, but when she took the path of politics, she hoisted the flag there too. She has been winning the last two Lok Sabha elections on BJP ticket. He has been MP from Mathura twice. In the year 2014, she became the BJP candidate for the first time from Mathura Lok Sabha seat. Now for the third consecutive time he is contesting elections from Mathura on BJP ticket. Hema had joined BJP in the year 2004.
Shatrughan Sinha is an old player of politics. He has been active in politics for three decades. In the year 1992, Shatrughan Sinha entered politics for the first time and lost the first election. He contested the elections from New Delhi Lok Sabha seat. After this, in the year 1996, BJP nominated him as Rajya Sabha member. He was also a minister in the government of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He was MP from Patna Sahib in 2009 and 2014. In the year 2019, the party did not give him the ticket and due to some differences, he left the party. Later he also remained in Congress. In the year 2022, he joined Mamata Banerjee’s party Trinamool Congress and reached Parliament by winning the by-election for Asansol Lok Sabha. Now once again he is trying his luck from here in this Lok Sabha elections.
Bhojpuri film actor Ravikishan also joined politics in the year 2017. In the year 2017, he joined BJP and in 2019, BJP made him its candidate from Gorakhpur. He was elected MP. Now this time also BJP has fielded him. Ravikishan is again contesting elections from Gorakhpur as a BJP candidate.
Bhojpuri singer Manoj Tiwari, after showing his talent in singing, also got a lot of applause in the world of acting. Meanwhile, in the year 2009, he also entered the world of politics and contested the election from Gorakhpur on SP ticket against Yogi Adityanath, however this time his move backfired and he lost the election. After this he distanced himself from politics, but in the year 2014 he joined BJP. The party gave him ticket from North East Delhi. Manoj Tiwari became MP. In the year 2019 also, Manoj Tiwari won the elections from this seat. This time again Manoj Tiwari is contesting on BJP ticket.
BJP has once again fielded Bhojpuri singer Dinesh Lal Nirahua from Azamgarh. Nirahua is currently the MP from here. He was victorious in the by-election of 2022. He had defeated SP’s Dharmendra Yadav in the elections here. Earlier in the year 2019 also, Nirahua had contested elections from here, but then SP’s Akhilesh Yadav had won from here. Earlier in the year 2014 also, BJP had fielded him against Mulayam Singh Yadav. At that time also he had lost, but Mulayam Singh could win by only 60 thousand votes. Now once again in 2024 the party has placed its bet on Nirahua.
