Now the director of the film Amar Kaushik has talked about the lyrics of the song. He said that he does not know that people come to the hall only to see item songs. But he was very clear about the quality of the song and the lyrics that it should fit the story of the film.

What did the director of Stree 2 say about the lyrics of the song?

In an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times, the film’s director Amar Kaushik said that there can be an item song in the film to convey the message of the film. He said that there can be an item song in a masala film whose lyrics can be thoughtful. The director said that in big budget films you have to give the full package to the audience.

‘People think if it is an item song then…’

Amar Kaushik admitted that people come to the theatre to watch item songs. However, he was clear about the quality of the lyrics and that the song should fit the storyline of the film. He said, people think that if it is an item song, it should have dirty lyrics. But I was clear that the song should be entertaining and fit for the film as well as meaningful.

The filmmaker said that he was very clear that he did not want to cross the line because his film is not about that. He said, “You can say whatever you want to say and you should have a style but when you listen to the lyrics, you should feel that I have said something big, you will understand it later.”

Let us tell you, Stree 2 was the second part of the film Stree which was released in 2018. Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana were also seen in this film. Akshay Kumar and Varun Dhawan also had a cameo in the film.
