New Delhi. Veteran actor Dharmendra may get into trouble in a fraud case. Patiala House Court of Delhi has given notice to 89 year old Dharmendra and 2 others. Sushil Kumar, a Delhi businessman, has alleged that he was defrauded in the matter of giving franchise of ‘Garam Dharam Dhaba’. He had given a complaint in the court. On this complaint of the businessman, Judicial Magistrate (First Class) Yashdeep Chahal has summoned Dharmendra and 2 others. This matter will now be heard on 20 February 2025. The court said that it needs to investigate the matter prima facie. Along with this, the defects and merit etc. of the case also have to be seen.
Patiala House Court, in the summons issued to actor Dharmendra and other accused, said that on the basis of evidence, prima facie it appears that the accused induced the victim to further their intention and the ingredients of the crime of fraud have also been disclosed. . The court said that for this reason accused number 1 Dharmendra Singh Deol, accused numbers 2 and 3 should be presented in the court. The court has also mentioned Section 420, Section 34 and Section 120B of conspiracy in its summoning order. Apart from this, a case under Section 506 i.e. criminal intimidation is also filed against the accused. In this case, the court had rejected the application for direction to register an FIR on 9 October 2020.
In the fraud case filed in the court against actor Dharmendra and others, complainant Sushil Kumar has said that this case is of April 2018. Sushil Kumar says that the franchise of Garam Dharam Dhaba was offered. At that time, the branches of this dhaba in Delhi and Murthal of Haryana were doing business worth lakhs. Sushil Kumar says that he was told to give 7 percent profit on investment. For this, an investment of Rs 41 lakh was asked. According to the complainant, he was told that help was also promised for setting up the franchise of Garam Dharam Dhaba in UP. He has also claimed to have e-mail contact and meeting with the accused.
