Mumbai. Sumona Chakravarti is back in India after shooting for ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 14’ in Romania. While she was not here, a report claimed that she did not leave ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ on her own will but was not aware of the comedian’s new show ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’. It was also claimed that Sumona was disappointed and upset with Kapil. However, Sumona has now clarified that this is not the case. In an exclusive conversation with AnyTV Showsha, Sumona Chakravarti clarified that she has not been removed from Kapil Sharma’s show.
Sumona Chakraborty said, “It’s very strange. A few days ago I spoke to a journalist and said something completely opposite. Then, two days later, another publication wrote the completely opposite in an article. I had nothing to say because I was also in Romania.”
Sumona Chakraborty said, “I have said this time and again, I was a part of a show that ended in July last year and it is not like I left the show or I resigned or I was fired, the show ended in July and after that we all moved on. We started our own projects after that. I am doing ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’.”
Sumona Chakravarti further said, “Kapil Sharma did another show. It’s just that there is no bitterness between us. Why would I be upset with Kapil? He and I have worked together before and I went to Romania.” When asked if she gets disappointed by negative reports about herself, the 36-year-old actress said, “Not anymore.”
Sumona Chakraborty said, “Maybe 20 years ago, she would have been upset. When I started my career, then maybe yes. Now I am used to it. And I have a simple answer to this and I often say – your opinion about me is not my responsibility.” Sumona was not a part of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, she will soon be seen in ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 14’, which will premiere on July 27.
