Bollywood actress Sheeba Akashdeep Sabir recently told in an interview that Sanjay Dutt’s father and Bollywood actor Sunil Dutt hated Amitabh Bachchan’s voice. He told that Sunil Dutt once cast Amitabh Bachchan in a silent character because he did not like Amitabh Bachchan’s voice. He told that his father-in-law also did not like the voice of Amitabh Bachchan. Sheeba’s father-in-law Manmohan Sabir had produced Amitabh Bachchan’s first film Saat Hindustani.
Producer did not like Amitabh Bachchan’s film
In an exclusive conversation with Siddharth Kanan, Sheeba said that her father-in-law had once said, “A hero used to come to our house and sit at my feet. We used to think what a resonant voice he had.” He further said that even Sunil Dutt had once told him that he hated its sound.
Sunil Dutt hated Amitabh’s voice
Sheeba said, “Dutt sahib told me that we hated his voice. His voice sounds like a radio jockey.” Sheeba said that Amitabh was given a silent role in Sunil Dutt’s film Reshma Aur Shera because she did not like his voice. He said that no one had any idea that in today’s time his voice would become bigger than that of an actor. Apart from acting in Reshma Aur Shera, Sunil Dutt also directed the film.
