There are only a few actors in Indian cinema who are able to achieve the status of a superstar and create a legacy of their own. It is mostly seen that the children of these stars also follow in their footsteps. Like Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan also came into films, while like Rishi Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor also became an actor, but there are many actors’ children who do not follow the path shown by them and choose a different path for themselves, explore different fields and create a new identity. We will tell you about one such star kid who did not follow in his father’s footsteps and today he is known as an IAS officer. This star kid decided to become an IAS officer instead of joining the film industry and has also accomplished it. We are talking about IAS officer Shrutanjay Narayanan who is the son of famous Tamil actor Chinni Jayant.

Shrutanjay was inclined towards acting

IAS officer Shrutanjay Narayanan’s father is known as a superstar in Tamil cinema and is famous for his comedy in Rajinikanth-starrer films of the 80s. IAS officer Shrutanjay Narayanan was also inclined towards acting and art like his father. Due to his love for acting, Shrutanjay Narayanan did theater for a long time. From childhood to adulthood, he spent a lot of time as a theater artist. Despite his interest in films, IAS officer Shrutanjay Narayanan completed his education. He has a bachelor’s degree from Guindy College of Engineering and a master’s degree from the famous Ashoka University.

Shrutanjay became IAS in the second attempt

IAS officer Shrutanjay Narayanan did not just wander around after completing his studies. He also gained experience by working in a startup. New opportunities inspired IAS officer Shrutanjay Narayanan to quit acting and prepare for the UPSC exam. IAS officer Shrutanjay Narayanan did self-study for 4-5 hours daily and then also worked in night shifts. Due to these efforts, IAS officer Shrutanjay Narayanan succeeded in the UPSC exam in 2015 with AIR 75 rank and became an IAS officer in the second attempt itself. IAS officer Shrutanjay Narayanan is currently posted as Additional Collector (Development) of Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu.
