This film is based on the biopic of a football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. Although the film received good reviews, it still failed to bring the audience to the theatres.

According to Sacknilk, ‘Maidan’ was built for Rs 250 crore. After the first week, the film earned just Rs 28.35 crore, in the second week it made a business of Rs 10.25 crore and in the third week it managed to earn Rs 80 lakh. Let us tell you that overall ‘Maidan’ had earned around Rs 68 crores worldwide. The film ‘Maidan’ was released on OTT soon after seeing a dry run at the box office.
