New Delhi. After falling flat at the box office during the Corona period, Bollywood made a strong comeback last year. Shahrukh Khan’s upcoming film ‘Pathan’, released at the beginning of the year, created such a stir at the box office that no film could compete with it for months. After ‘Pathan’ came Shahrukh Khan’s film ‘Jawaan’, which repeated the charisma of the previous film at the box-office and went two steps ahead of ‘Pathan’ in terms of earnings. However, now three months of the year 2024 have passed and now once again Bollywood’s steps seem to be wavering.
Many Bollywood films were released in the last three months of this year, but the surprising thing is that the total earnings of all these films have not been able to compete with Shahrukh Khan and Nayanthara’s film ‘Jawaan’ released last year. So far in the year 2024, ‘Merry Christmas’, ‘Main Atal Hoon’, ‘Fighter’, ‘Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, ‘Crack’, ‘Article 370’, ‘Missing Ladies’, ‘Yoddha’, ‘Shaitan’, ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’ and ‘Madgaon Express’ have been released.
‘Fighter’ earned the most
Out of these films released so far, the total collection of the top 11 films is Rs 900 crore while the Indian box-office collection of ‘Jawaan’ was Rs 637.95 crore. Hrithik Roshan-Deepika Padukone’s film ‘Fighter’, released in the month of January, is the highest grossing film till date.
The magic of ‘Satan’ is gone
In terms of earnings, Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s film ‘Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’ is at second place while Ajay Devgan, Jyotika, R Madhavan’s ‘Shaitan’ is at third place.
